Is a Bad Excuse Better Than No Excuse at All?

Christmastime is no busier than any other time around here. Especially not this year. But I know that most of you are crazy busy (wrapping, packing, planning, baking), so maybe you haven't noticed how many things I have forgotten...blogwise (you'd have to be in my house to know that I keep forgetting to buy laundry detergent).

First of all, I did draw a name for our bonus entry last Thursday. I did draw one. But because it would have taken a whole five minutes to blog about it, it somehow slipped my mind.

So, Matthew Frank, you've just earned yourself one more entry into our little huge contest. You're one step closer to Red River! Woo Hoo!




I'll be drawing the final bonus entry tomorrow. And tomorrow's lucky blessed winner will receive a bonus entry as well as a bag of my favorite New Mexico coffee - which they sell right here in Red River (seriously coffee drinkers, you haven't lived yet)!

While we're on topic, I might as well tell you that I'm a little sad. There is one week left in our fantastic giveaway, and not nearly enough of you have entered. I thought I'd take a minute and talk about the widow's mite, because I know times are hard this year, and you guys might not be able to give in the way you would like to give.

But you still need to give, and you'll still be blessed by giving.

As far as I can tell, Compassion doesn't even list a minimum donation. We all want to give big, but if you simply can't, just give what you can. We're giving you the opportunity to change lives (and win an incredible prize). Do not let it pass you by.
